One Big Beautiful Bill tax law changes to note for 2025:

Seniors 65 and older can get an extra $6,000 tax deduction (per person) on their 2025 through 2028 individual tax returns. There is a phase-out factored into this deduction for higher income taxpayers.

Recent notice we received from the IRS:

"The IRS is aware of a delay in processing some electronic payments and that some taxpayers are receiving IRS notices indicating a balance due even though payments were made timely. Taxpayers who paid tax reported due on their tax return electronically may see payments on their accounts as pending, although the IRS has received payment through their banking institution. The notice may have been initiated before the payment was processed on the account, or the payment may have been processed but contained errors and requires additional handling to address the error before updating the tax account.

For affected taxpayers, the IRS apologizes for the inconvenience this delay in processing your payment has caused."

Tax Day is finally here! We made it!! We want to take a moment to commend the staff for getting through another hectic tax season and to show some appreciation for Mary, who hasn't taken a day off in months. We also wanted to thank our customers for their continued support and patronage! That being said, Mary has given us the rest of the week off to relax!
Today 4/15 we close at 5pm, and our office is closed Wed 4/16, Thurs 4/17 and Fri 4/18 so our staff can enjoy a long weekend.
We will be back on Monday with our new summer hours!
Mon-Thurs 9am-4pm (closed 12-1pm for lunch).

! HELPFUL TIP !
As we end the first week of Tax Season for the 2024 year, a tip we would like to give that would make processing your returns faster is to please take your forms out of the envelopes they were mailed to you in and give us only the necessary forms! It may seem tedious or miniscule, but when we - or any tax preparer - have hundreds of returns to complete, it makes our jobs just that much easier and a faster finished return to get you your refunds! 🤑😁

For those who receive the Identity Protection Pin for their tax returns - be on the lookout for those! They should be arriving in the mail this month and every year is a different PIN number that we will need to file your returns.

New Hours - Effective Immediately!
We will be open Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm and closed daily for lunch from 12noon-1pm.

We'd also like to give notice that Social Security Year End Statements have been mailed out - so please keep an eye out if that's something you need for your 2024 Tax Returns! Also watch for your Year End W2's, 1099's and investment income statements.
