If you receive any correspondence on the Annual Reports, it is crucial to make sure the e-mail is from the Mississippi Secretary of State Office (or any state this may apply to, for that matter). Check the e-mail address and look for any identifying imagery or specific language that points to it being official correspondence from the Secretary of State Office before doing anything.
