Would you believe that Congress is considering a tax on email now?! The U.S. Senate Committee on Finance explained its position saying, "It would be 'irresponsible' not to try and tax absolutely everything."

With the deficit refusing to shrink on its own, Congress is taking measures into its own hands - by considering a proposal to tax email (don't worry: emails with pictures of kittens are totally exempt).

We thought these tax write-offs were very creative (or ridiculous, depending on your point of view).

Your fellow taxpayers have successfully claimed write-offs for many things that most of us wouldn't even imagine, ranging from cat food to a casualty loss for a vehicle totaled by a drunk driver.
