Hmmm. I think Walmart is going off on a tangent that will not bode well for their business.

I hear that Walmart is currently working with Microsoft on building Artificial Intelligence into their systems. Where would AI be used? Replenishment and forecasting. I worry that Walmart will discard their RM’s and Planning teams (and supplier interaction) figuring that a computer can achieve the 80-20 rule.

Let’s see how happy the stock holders will be with a 20% sales reduction.

I just got my first email from a member regarding what was covered at this week's Conference. The person was disturbed as she was getting no data in her Supply Plan.

My answer was to recall that we were told that the Supply Plan has not yet been activated for all suppliers and she can ask her RM when to expect the Supply Plan to be activated for her.
