The IRS has pushed the tax filing deadline from April 15 to July 15. Individuals, corporations, non-corporate filers and those who pay self-employment tax can also defer income tax payments. We appreciate the ease of deadlines as we all focus on our health, our families, and our communities.

Spc. Ezra Maes spent four months in intensive care undergoing near daily surgeries and battling an infection. He’s now assigned to the Warrior Transition Battalion and undergoing physical and occupational therapy.

Tomorrow Oct 15 is the filing deadline for 2018 individual tax returns on extension AND to amend your 2016 tax return no later than this deadline as well if needed. Efile 2018 by midnight or postmark a mailed return by tomorrow and beat the clock and calendar.

Powerful meeting today at VIA in Green Cove (the oldest women’s organization in FL since 1883). Tara Green from Clerks Office shared their latest and greatest news and updates, and Wanda Duncan did a powerful reading from her book about GCS “Cracker Gothic.” Several community leaders joined us as well. Thanks to current and past Presidents Janey Fox and Theresa Crockett for a wonderful time and luncheon.
