Scammers are getting more and more sophisticated it seems. One of my tax clients received an "IRS notice" assessing over $18,000 in penalties. The supporting documents relate to an existing issue that has already been resolved. When I tried to contact the "revenue agent," the phone number connected to a health insurance provider.

Remember folks, you cannot be too careful with scammers. If you receive something from a tax agency that you're not sure about, please give me a call at 404-316-9713 and let's make sure that you are not being scammed.
