I am pleased to announce a new promotion for 2021: Referral Rewards. What are Referral Rewards? It is simple: for every new client that you refer to me, I will send you a $25 Visa gift card. This is my way of saying "Thank You," for helping me to grow my tax business. I believe that word-of-mouth advertising is still the best form of advertising.

Please note that referrals only count for new clients and the client must mention your name when he or she contacts me.

Send your friends to the link below to contact me. There is a space for your friend to enter your name so that you will receive credit for the referral. There is no limit to the number of gift cards that you may earn.

I am so thankful to work with you on your taxes and I want to thank you in advance for referring your friends and family to me.

As we are all aware 2020 was a year unlike any other. COVID-19 ushered in changes to just about every sphere of life. The wearing of masks and the practice of social distancing were virtually unheard of before the pandemic, but are now commonplace. It is impossible to go out in public and not be reminded of just how much things have changed over the past 10 months. It seems that there is no end in sight and that brings me to the real purpose of this post. I want to let you know that I have decided to make Mark Fuss Tax Service a fully virtual Tax Preparation business. I am still able to offer the same professional tax preparation service as I have in the past. The only change is that I will be doing so without any in-person contact with my clients. I have decided to take this step out of an abundance of caution and to provide the necessary physical safeguards for my clients and myself.

How will this change impact the tax preparation process? Every client will be set up with a personal and secure on-line Client Portal. You will use the Client Portal to upload your tax documents. You will be able to message me using the Portal. When I complete your tax return(s), we will use the Portal to collect all necessary signatures for the various tax forms and you will use the Portal to remit your payment for my services. You will also be able to download a copy of your tax return(s) via the Portal.

I want to emphasize that the Client Portal is secure and your information is safe.

Please know that I will available to speak with you on the phone or meet with you via Zoom during the tax preparation process. I do not want to eliminate all contact, even if the only "personal" contacts are by way of technology.

When you are ready for me to start work on your tax return(s), please visit https://calendly.com/markfusstax-879/15min to make an appointment for me to give you a call or you may send me an email at [email protected].

I very much look forward to working with you this year.

It appears as though the IRS is not going to extend the July 15 tax filing deadline.

The IRS has announced the tax filing and payment deadline of July 15 will not be postponed. Individual taxpayers unable to meet the July 15 due date can request an automatic extension of time to file until Oct. 15.

Contactless Tax Preparation

With the Covid-19 pandemic that has been going since March and with the recent upswing in the number of cases locally, it is understandable that many people are doing their absolute best to avoid unnecessary contact with others. This is certainly a most wise and prudent approach to take until things subside and return to some sense of normalcy. If you are one of the millions of Americans who have not yet filed a tax return for 2019, you may be a bit apprehensive about meeting with a tax professional face-to-face. That is why I am pleased to inform you that I can offer you a contactless tax preparation experience. What do I mean by “contactless” tax preparation? What I mean is simply this: I can prepare your tax return without the need for any unnecessary one-on-one personal contact. How does this work? From the comfort and safety of your own home, you can upload all your necessary tax documents to me via a secure web portal. I can then prepare your tax return and provide you with a copy, again via the secure web portal. You can even sign all necessary tax documents or forms and pay for my services via the secure web portal. You can do all of this and never leave your home or risk unnecessary exposure. There is no personal “contact” to put either of us at risk.

The contactless tax preparation service that I am offering is a ten-step process, as follows:

1. You let me know that you are interested in this service using the web link provided below.

2. I will send you a link to a form that I ask you to complete so that I can have a more accurate picture of your unique tax situation.

3. Based on the information that you provide; I will give you an estimate of what my tax preparation fee will be (I have a minimum charge of $140).

4. I will provide you with a link to my secure web portal and you will upload your tax documents and other necessary information to enable me to prepare your tax return.

5. I will prepare your tax return or returns based on the information that you provide in step 4.

6. I will give you the opportunity to review your tax return before it is finalized.

7. You will sign any necessary tax documents or forms using the secure web portal.

8. You will pay my fee via the secure portal.

9. I will electronically file your tax return or returns.

10. I will provide you with a PDF copy of your tax return or returns via the secure web portal.

Are you having issues with the IRS? Do you owe back taxes? Are you delinquent in filing past due tax returns? Has the IRS placed a lien or levy on your assets? There are fewer things in life that cause more anxiety and stress than having problems with the IRS. The letters, the phone calls, the visits to your workplace and home all add up to one gigantic headache and push the stress meter off the chart. Of course, you cannot simply ignore the issue hoping that it will just go away, because it will not. The IRS is very persistent, and the agency has been instructed to be even more aggressive in its efforts to collect past due tax balances. So, you cannot expect them to just leave you alone and forget about your case. But you do not have to deal with the IRS alone. I am here to help you solve your tax problems. I have over 30 years of tax experience and I can help you get your IRS issues resolved. Some of the services that I offer include:

IRS Offer in Compromise

IRS Payment Plans

Penalty Abatement

Innocent Spouse Relief

Filing Past Due Tax Returns

Payroll Tax Issues

Lien Removal

Levy Release

Audit Representation

State Tax Issues

If you are having issues with the IRS, please call or email me today and make an appointment and let us begin to get your tax problems solved. If you know of anyone with tax problems, please pass this along.

Coronovirus and Taxes.

As you are aware, the IRS has extended the deadline for you to file your 2019 Tax Return until July 15, 2020. I am sure that you are also aware that Congress passed a Bill last Friday that the President signed into Law that provides taxpayers with monetary relief in the face of the Coronovirus pandemic. The 2 Trillion dollar economic stimulus includes a provision to provide economic impact payment to most American taxpayers. Tax filers with adjusted gross income up to $75,000 for individuals and up to $150,000 for married couples filing joint returns will receive the full payment of $1,200 for individuals and $2,400 for married couples. In addition, parents also receive $500 for each qualifying child.

The IRS published guidelines today to clarify that individuals must file a Tax Return for either 2018 or 2019 in order to be eligible to receive the payments. The IRS also stated that a process will be put in place to allow seniors and other who typically do not file returns to submit simple returns in order to receive the stimulus payments. IRS.gov/coronavirus will soon provide information instructing people in these groups on how to file a 2019 tax return with simple, but necessary, information including their filing status, number of dependents and direct deposit bank account information.

If you need help filing your 2018 or 2019 Tax Return, I am here to assist you. I know that we all need to take this virus seriously and make sure that we are taking the necessary precautions to protect ourselves from infection. This means, in part, that we need to avoid unnecessary contact with others. Putting these safety precautions into practice makes it difficult for you to sit down face-to-face with a Tax Professional and get your taxes prepared. In my Tax Practice, I make use of a secure client portal that makes personal contact unnecessary (for the present). You are able to upload your tax documents to the portal where I can retrieve them and prepare your Tax Return, which I then upload to the portal for your review. When you are satisfied that your return is complete and ready to file, we can use the secure portal to obtain your signature(s) for the Electronic Filing process and then for me to deliver to you a copy of the completed and filed Tax Return. We can do all of this without either of us being exposed to potential germs. There is no additional charge for this convenience.

If you are interested in having me help you with your tax return for either 2018 or 2019 please contact me today.

ALERT: IRS extends deadline to file 2019 Tax Returns and pay any balance due by 90 days until July 15, 2020.

You don't have to wait until the deadline to file, however. If you have a refund coming to you, the IRS is encouraging you to go ahead and file so that there will not be any delay in getting your refund. If you have a balance due, you are able to go ahead and file your return and pay the balance by July 15, 2020 without incurring any interest or penalties. The IRS has stated that interest and penalties will begin to accrue on July 16, 2020 and will continue to accrue until the balance due is paid.

I have over 30 years of tax preparation experience and I will be happy to help you with your tax return.

Please call or email me today to make an appointment to get your 2019 taxes filed.
