Shelton Accounting Service LLC is looking to hire a full-time seasonal experienced tax preparer for our upcoming busy tax season. This is a seasonal position from January through April that requires 40+ hours a week. Competitive hourly wage – depends on experience. This seasonal position may lead to a permanent position as a staff accountant with our firm. Shelton Accounting Service, LLC specializes in small business owners and individual tax clients.

Responsibilities include:
• Preparing and completing accurate individual and business tax returns
• Conducting face-to-face tax interviews with clients
• Tax planning and answering tax-related questions
• Protecting sensitive and highly confidential client information

Candidates should have the following qualifications:
• 2+ seasons of previous tax
experience
• Experience preparing individual, business, trust and state tax returns using tax preparation software
• CPA or Enrolled Agent (preferred but not required)
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and income taxes
• Proficiency with Drake tax software program a plus
• Ability to multi-task
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
