We are looking for an experienced individual with full knowledge of data entry, including bank and credit card reconciliation, payroll processing, and payroll tax fillings all the way through the financials.
Your Balance Sheet LLC is the largest local bookkeeping / accounting firm in the Puget Sound area. Conveniently located in Everett, we serve a wide variety of small to large businesses with their customized accounting needs. Currently, our staff of long-term employees, are looking for an EXPERIENCED individual to join our team as we grow.
Job requirements are as follows:
•Minimum of 10 years accounting experience
•Minimum of 5 years QuickBooks desktop / QuickBooks online, in a variety of businesses (prefer QB Advisor level)
•5 years' experience with Word, Outlook, and Excel
•Strong organizational skills and time management
•Flexible and willing to work independently and with a team
•Prompt and regular attendance
Responsibilities
•Business professionalism while interacting with clients, ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients
•Accounts payable and accounts receivable
•Data entry and reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts
•Census documentation (Form 5500)
•Cash Management / Cash Flow / Budgets / Actual / Operating
•Filing City and state excise taxes (paper and e-filling), reconciliations
•Renew business licenses / city endorsements
•Internal auditing of all balance sheet accounts
•Creating and maintaining Excel spreadsheets
•Backing up co-workers as needed
Filling 1099's annually and request W-9's when needed
•IT knowledge is a plus
•Payroll processing, reporting reconciliation, and payroll tax fillings (per payroll, monthly, quarterly, etc.)
•Reviewing timecards for accuracy and completeness
•Input hours, deductions, garnishments, etc.
•Setting up payroll item codes in QuickBooks
•Setting up direct deposit (Company and employee)
•401k contributions / auditing, reconciling
•Tracking accrual FMLA, holiday, vacation, attendance etc.
•Process payments, adjustments, special pay, and vacation pay
•Validate payroll for accuracy and completeness
•Processing quarterly tax payments for all state and federal tax agencies on time
•Prepare reports and reconcile all liability and expense accounts are reliving properly
•Provide new hire, salary and benefit changes and terminations
•Process and calculate pay upon termination
•Process manual checks including final checks as needed
•Assist with answering and researching complex payroll related issues with employees, human resources, accounting and legal
•Evaluate processes and procedural documents for increased efficiencies and opportunities for continuous improvement.
•Responsible for upholding Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.
•Perform other related duties as assigned
•Ability to handle personal and private information with the utmost discretion and confidentiality.
Qualifications
This person would need to pass a criminal and credit background check. Working remotely is NOT offered in this position. You would need to be in the office to process and maintain numerous payrolls daily.
