A special American Airlines flight operated by an all-Black and all-female crew honored aviation pioneer Bēssie Coleman on the 100th anniversary of Coleman becoming the first Black woman to pilot a public flight.
Bessie Coleman became the first Black and Native American woman to earn a pilot's license back in June 1921 and became the first Black woman to perform a public flight in 1922.

FTC Fines H&R Block for Deceptive Claims

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) agreed to a proposed settlement that will require H&R Block to pay $7 million for deceptive practices related to its online tax filing products. The proposed settlement would stop H&R Block from unfair practices, including requiring customers seeking to downgrade to one of its cheaper online tax filing products to contact customer service, deleting users' previously entered data and making deceptive claims about “free” tax filing. H&R Block has agreed to make a number of changes for the 2025 tax filing season and to make longer-term changes.

A True Story .... Carnation Milk
When opening a can of carnation evaporated milk for your recipes just smile and think of this:
A little old lady from North Carolina had worked in and around her family’s dairy farm since she was old enough to walk, with hours of hard work and little compensation…
So when canned Carnation Milk became available in grocery stores, she read an advertisement offering $5000 for the best slogan/rhyme beginning with “Carnation milk is best of all ....”
She said to herself “ I know all about milking cows and dairy farms… I can do this!”
She sent in her entry, and about a week later, a black limo drove up in front of her house… A man got out and said, “Carnation LOVED your entry so much, we are here to award you $1000, even though we WILL NOT Be able to use it...
