Dear Tax Clients,

We hope you’re doing well as we navigate another busy tax season. We wanted to update you on recent developments that could impact tax processing times and let you know how we’re here to support you.

The IRS has recently announced workforce reductions, which could lead to delays in tax return processing, refund disbursements, and response times for inquiries.

While this situation is outside of our control, we want to assure you that we are here to help and will do everything possible to make this tax season smooth for you.

What This Means for You:

✔ Potential Processing Delays – The IRS may take longer than usual to review and issue refunds, especially for returns flagged for additional verification.

✔ Extended Response Times – If the IRS requires additional information or sends a notice, response times may be slower than in previous years.

✔ Proactive Tax Planning is Key – Submitting your tax documents as early as possible will help us file promptly and reduce the risk of unexpected delays.

How We’re Supporting You:

🔹 Faster Filing – We are prioritizing early filings to help minimize delays. Please submit your tax documents at your earliest convenience.

🔹 Real-Time IRS Updates – We’re closely monitoring any IRS changes and will keep you informed.

🔹 Assistance with IRS Notices – If you receive a letter or request from the IRS, send it to us immediately. We’ll guide you through the next steps.

🔹 Support for Questions & Concerns – Our team is available to answer any questions and provide clarity on expected timeframes.
We understand that tax season can be stressful, and uncertainty with the IRS may add an extra layer of concern.

Please know that you are not alone in this—we’ve got your back! If you have any questions or need assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

📅 Schedule a call with us if you’d like to discuss your return, potential delays, or anything else tax-related.

Thank you for trusting us with your taxes. We appreciate your patience and confidence in our team!

Corporate Transparency Act Reporting Requirements Back in Effect with Extended Reporting Deadline; FinCEN Announces Intention to Revise Reporting Rule Following the February 18, 2025, decision by the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas in Smith, et al. v. U.S. Department of the Treasury, et al., 6:24-cv-00336, the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) has announced that beneficial ownership information (BOI) reporting requirements under the Corporate Transparency Act are back in effect, with a new deadline of March 21, 2025 for most companies.
FinCEN has also announced that it will assess its options to further modify deadlines, while prioritizing reporting for those entities that pose the most significant national security risks. FinCEN intends to initiate a process this year to revise the BOI reporting rule to reduce burden for lower-risk entities, including many U.S. small businesses.
