Update on my health

Some know what has been going on with my health along with the struggles associated with it...but many do not.

I'm not intentionally being a hermit or avoiding people or intentionally not getting things/paperwork done.

I have been very sick since the beginning of May..and sleeping almost 12 or 16 hours a day around being sick.

I ended up in the ER at end of June which enabled me to get a sooner appointment...mid July.. and on this Wednesday Aug 12th I will be having another colonoscopy and Endoscopy to investigate further items on my CAT scan in ER

In addition I am working on scheduling my Afib Ablation with the Heart Group...which I have no date yet for that... irregular activity came up on loop recorder.

I haven't posted much...because I know it could be a lot worse. And many have it worse that they are dealing with....but figured it was time to post an update for everyone.

Prayers are appreciated for me..but honestly would appreciate more prayers for My Mommy...as she is not handling it well that her Boomer has been so sick.

Its been awhile since I have posted .. I took the usual 2 weeks after April 15 off in order for my body to recuperate after the long days/weeks of tax season.

Unfortunately just when I was going to resume work.. that is working on tax filings I did extensions for as well as catching up on bookkeeping.. my body had other plans and Unfortunately it has been that way for last 2 months.. I have been sick 75% of the time since then.. and slowly, very slowly working on getting answers and relief... in m meantime I'm tired all the time.

Someway, somehow my body makes it thru every tax season.. mainly I think because I dont have to leave my house.....then ever since my stroke and 3 mini-strokes in June of 2023 .. it all seems to go downhill in May and june..Into July.

I say it all the time.. I have the best clients..and know the best people. So I cant thank those waiting for answers for sticking by me.. I'm no where near ready to throw in the towel yet..

Could I file for social security disability..yes most likely I could and most likely would get approved, would have to give up some of my tax business and I'm not willing or ready to do that.

So from bottom of my heart and then some.. thank you for sticking by me.

Since my FB Has been pretty silent recently...

Wanted to make a quick post...to update everyone on me and post tax deadline issues needing resolved yet.

It's always the plan to only take a week of down time after April 15th, which based on history it always turns into 2 to 4 weeks.

That being said.... in typical fashion, based on my health history and my auto immune and digestive dissorders....I have had a lot of issues recently....I push my body over the limits to get thru tax season... and I honestly wouldn't have it any other way...because I love tax season and all that's involved.

That being said, I am now playing catch up with voice-mails and messages.... on top of that, for some reason... the last 2 weeks, when I check voice-mails, every other message says 'an error has occurred' and I never know who that voice-mail was from.

So if I haven't replied, maybe send me a text...just in case my voice-mails are not corrected yet.

Quick post tax season update..still in hibernation for a few more days...then I will be working on Amendments, returns with extensions that were filed and bookkeeping.

During tax season...I am so so busy..I dont have time to rethink about anything else but clients taxes...

But I do have occasional moments where it hits me.. that my person, my Kelvin isn't here to make sure I eat, make sure Mom has her groceries she needs...or at the end, Of tax season to celebrate...I dont have my person to take me out for that special dinner or cook me one
definitely setting in. .its now the end of my 3rd tax season without you.

And while you are missed all the time...definitely missed now especially

But I did it Kelvin Brandt ..another tax season in the books!

And dont take this that I'm expecting anyone to cook me donner...was just a mental reminder for me that I wanted to share

Good Evening to All current, past and potential tax and/or bookkeeping/tax clients.

It is now 11:17 pm on Wednesday April 15th and I have officially ended the regular tax season for 2025 taxes.

While I try to complete -- review/efile all taxes presented to me prior to April 15th -- every year -- I have under 10 returns that I simply ran out of hours/days to get them to be submitted on time ....or I simply didn't have all of the information.

Any of my clients that needed tax-filing extensions have been submitted electronically....whether it is because the clients simply couldn't get there documentation to me on time -- or because I ran out of time.
