Due to recent Federal Claims Court ruling, you may be entitled to a refund of tax penalties and interest paid between January 20, 2020 and July 10, 2023.
However, to claim this possible refund, we need to review your IRS Transcripts to confirm you paid these penalties and interest.

We will need to File Form 843 with the IRS no later than July 10, 2026. The US Government has filed an Appeal so that means we will not know if you are entitled to a refund until that case is settled which may be many years.

However, we need to file a Protective Claim for Refund to protect your claim for this refund.

Just for clarification, the bill recently passed DOES NOT eliminate the taxability from social security. It does give certain qualifying seniors a temporary extra deduction. Please talk to your tax professional before making any major changes based on a misconception.
