The deadline to send out your 1099’s and W2’s is coming up quickly. You must submit a W2 to all employees and a 1099 to any subcontractor (including rent) you paid $600 or more to. Have them fill out a W9 so that you have the correct information to write their 1099!

Don’t miss these upcoming deadlines! Take advantage of any extra time earned from kids going back to school and the weather change (and ferry troubles that keep us closer to home) by filing your taxes on time. Fall is here and with it the following deadlines:

September 15th: multi-member LLC, S-Corporation and C-Corporation returns

Octboer 15th: Individual tax returns

October 25th: Business quarterly reports (DOR/ESD/PFML/941/LNI)

With the intention of keeping our community safe, I am equipped to work virtually in a secure and efficient way so you can file from the comfort of your home.

I also highly recommend that business owners take the time to schedule an in-depth consultation after your quarterlies and taxes have been filed. After the close of 2021 we won’t be able to make many changes to your tax liability, which is why it’s important to remain proactive and go over your current and projected financial situation to estimate taxes owed and explore strategies that could reduce your tax burden while keeping the money in your business and bank account for you and your family.
