EDUCATION WHAT TO VERIFY:
• Filing Status: Single, HOH, MFJ it MUST match your real life
• Dependents: Names, SSNs, relationship make sure it’s accurate
• Income: Numbers must match your W-2/1099 exactly
• Credits: You should understand WHY you qualify
• Bank Info: YOUR account. YOUR routing number. Not your preparer’s
• Fees: Know what you’re paying before they hit submit
If your preparer can’t explain your return, you shouldn’t be signing it.
