We’re proud to support the Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra and the important role it plays in bringing music, culture and connection to our community.

In the Phil’s latest publication, our co-founder Paula Sullivan Harris shares a little about her connection to the orchestra and why supporting strong local organizations has long been important to WH Cornerstone Investments.

We’re grateful to be part of a community with so many people and organizations working to make the South Shore such a special place to live and work.

Have you ever stopped to think about the legacy you are creating while you are still here?

A meaningful legacy isn't just what we leave behind when we're gone—it's the people we impact, the kindness we share, and the good we set in motion today.

Ask yourself what you want to be remembered for, then find one way today to put that legacy into action.

Dolly Parton spent more than 60 years loving Carl Dean.

Toward the end of his life, she also became his caregiver. She later acknowledged something many caregivers may recognize: while caring for him, she neglected some of her own needs.

And then, after Carl died, she faced another transition—learning how to live without the person who had been beside her since she was 18.

Dolly said something that has stayed with me:

“I've been with him 60 years. So, I'm going to have to relearn some of the things that we've done.”

That may be one of the simplest descriptions of widowhood I've heard.

Because losing a spouse isn't only losing someone you love.

It's losing the routines you shared. The responsibilities you divided. The person you talked things through with. The plans you made together. The familiar rhythm of we.

And after months or years of caregiving, a widow may enter this new chapter already physically and emotionally exhausted.

That's why supporting a widow isn't simply about helping her make financial decisions.

Sometimes it's about helping her figure out which decisions need to be made today—and reminding her that some can wait.

Dolly's time as a widow was relatively short. Today, there is something comforting in imagining Dolly and Carl together again after a love story that spanned more than six decades.

From “we,” to “me,” and now, together again.

Rest in peace, Dolly and Carl. May their love story—and the extraordinary legacy Dolly leaves behind—continue to inspire us.

Are you surrounded by people who recharge your energy or leave you feeling completely drained?

The people we spend the most time with can influence our mindset, confidence, and energy—and we have a choice about who we allow into our lives.

Think of your five “battery people” and make time for them, then ask yourself how you can be a battery for someone else today.

Have you ever found yourself squeezing one more thing into every spare minute instead of simply being present?

Our constant connection to devices and busy schedules can leave little room for real conversations, meaningful connection, or simply enjoying the space between things.

Put down your phone, create a little breathing room, and give yourself permission to be fully present with the people and moments around you.
