1986 was also the year Edward Fulbright, CPA, C
GMA, PFS launched a part-time home-based CPA practice with one IBM Compaq computer, one client and a business plan. During 1987, as the firm continued to grow, Genevia Gee Fulbright, CPA, CGMA, relocated from California to serve as full-time Accounting & Tax Manager while Edward served dual roles, IBM Financial Analyst during the day and CPA Practitioner in the evenings and on weekends. In the early evolution of the firm service offerings centered around individual and small business taxes and accounting services. The focus then and continues to be on how to help clients KEEP MORE OF WHAT THEY MAKE. After a few years clients requested additional services including business strategy sessions, investment advice and coaching services so in addition to increasing offerings in 1995 Edward founded fee-only NC registered investment advisory firm Fulbright Financial Consulting, PA. By offering objective Fiduciary Fee-Only services the firm better represents the best interests of clients. Always innovators in the industry:
During 1994 Genevia started conducting seminars, serving on corporate boards and authoring books, eventually starting a “Make the Leap” book series. The next installment to the series is due out 3rd Quarter 2015 entitled Make the Leap: From Student to Board Director. Check out: Make the Leap
During 1995 Edward started hosting and producing a personal & business finance radio program “Mastering Your Money™” a syndicated weekly educational program to help people make informed financial choices. Mastering Your Money
With the success of the first two ventures, a third business was born, Fulbright Knowledge Alliances, Inc. during 2003 to help the other firms as well as manage media activities, books and workshops. Being on the same side of the table with our clients is very important to us.
