The U.S. will extend the individual tax filing deadline until July 15 from April 15, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said.

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin announced that individuals and businesses can delay their tax payments for 90 days due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Congress has asked the IRS to extend the tax filing deadline from April 15. Possibly to July 15th and to provide payment relief for penalties for those affected by COVID-19. We expect to hear more today about the decisions being made. We will keep you posted.
