Unbelievable!!! It might be wrong! January 5th, I posted to save the IRS letters being mailed telling you about how much you received for the Advanced Child Tax Credit. January 24th, the Treasury relaunched their Child Tax Credit portal, https://www.childtaxcredit.gov/ These were 2 ways you could confirm how much you received in 2021 for the Advanced Child Tax Credit. Now, the IRS is saying that the amounts on their letters and their portal could be wrong. They suggest creating an IRS online account to confirm. This amount is critical to your returns being processed timely at the IRS. Blanchette, Jean and Company is here to assist.

Careful with Crypto!! Cryptocurrency like Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin etc.. are not currency. They are treated like property on your Tax Return. Gone are the days of secret exchanges of this virtual currency. These transactions are reportable transactions on your Tax Return. Exchanges such as Coinbase, Celsius, Gemini, Bitstamp, Venmo and Brokers like Robinhood all report these transactions to the IRS. Please be sure to report these on your Tax Return.

The IRS Letters that you want to get!! 👍👍👍 Tax Season Tip - The IRS has started to send Taxpayers informational letters detailing how much they have received in Tax Year 2021 for the Advanced Child Tax Credit and also for the 3rd Stimulus Payment. Please SAVE these letters for Tax Prep. They will be needed to prepare your 2021 Tax Returns.

COVID Tax Tip 2022-03, January 5, 2022 — The IRS started issuing information letters to advance child tax credit recipients in December. Recipients of the third round of the Economic Impact Payments will begin receiving information letters at the end of January.
