Tax Deadline Extended for Most California Residents
The normal tax filing deadline for 2023 is April 18. However, due to the heavy rains in floods affecting many parts of California, an emergency declaration was declared by President Biden, and Governor Newsom.
For most California residents, the IRS and State of California have extended the tax filing deadline to October 16. This includes residents of the following counties: Alameda, Alpine, Amador, Butte, Calaveras, Colusa, Contra Costa, Del Norte, El Dorado, Fresno, Glenn, Humboldt, Inyo, Los Angeles, Madera, Marin, Mariposa, Mendocino, Merced, Monterey, Napa, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, San Benito, San Joaquin, San Luis Obispo, San Mateo, Santa Barbara, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, San Diego, San Francisco, Siskiyou, Solano, Sonoma, Stanislaus, Sutter, Tehama, Trinity, Tulare, Tuolumne, Ventura, Yolo.
