DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE AND TAX RETURNS

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY....

As you know, individual taxpayers usually must submit their tax returns by April 15 each year. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin announced on March 17, 2020 that the Treasury and IRS will delay the payment deadline by 90 days. Note that the filing deadline has not been changed.

This announcement delays the tax due payment date to July 15, 2020. This announcement only affects federal returns. For the latest information on whether your state has delayed their deadline, please visit this AICPA resource.

There now is a case in berks county. I would like myself and
my fellow workers to be safe as well as our clients. Not to worry we will get your taxes done as soon as we reopen. We will be shutting down until things calm down starting at 8pm tonight. I will let you all know once we reopen.

The IRS will start processing stockpiled returns on the 29th January. A few return will be processed up to a week before this date for testing purposes. If your return is among those the the IRS processes early as a part of its testing, your tax refund won't be processed until after January 29.

The irs will hold returns claiming the earned income tax till mid February

Due date for the fourth installment of 2017 estimate tax payments is January 15th.

March 15th is deadline for filing a Partnership return.

April 17th is deadline for returns or extensions.

The new tax laws will not go into affect till 2018.
