Happy Memorial Day!

Today, we pause to remember and honor those who have served and sacrificed.

It is a moment to reflect on the courage, dedication, and lives given for our freedom.

Grateful today and always!

Attending the Michigan Women's Tax Association Ethics Breakfast Seminar in downtown Detroit was such a full-circle moment for me. From the beautiful views at the PwC office overlooking Windsor, my hometown, to hearing from the incredible BDO professionals leading the sessions, the morning brought back so many memories from the start of my career.
I never had the opportunity to work at a Big 4 accounting firm, but walking into that skyscraper environment reminded me of days spent working in high-rise offices while living in New York City. I actually started my accounting journey at BDO, where I learned many of my foundational accounting and professional skills through their amazing training programs.
Today’s sessions on ethical decision making and ethical courage were such important reminders that integrity, professionalism, and strong leadership matter at every stage of your career. My path has taken me in many different directions over the years, but it’s meaningful to reflect on how it ultimately led me back to public accounting and serving the small business community that I care so deeply about.
Grateful for opportunities like these to learn, reflect, reconnect, and continue growing.

We appreciate you for the impact you make behind the scenes and beyond 🙌💼

- You should keep employment tax records for 4 years.
