Helping businesses offer cost-efficient benefits and financial guidance that supports employees now and beyond their time with the company When I’m not cheering on the Broncos, I’m helping people and businesses make sure their money works as hard as they do. Over time, I saw how confusing financial decisions can be, how easily people can be misled, and how

challenging things become when there isn’t a plan in place. Those experiences shaped how I show up in my work today. I partner with businesses to build cost-efficient, competitive benefits packages that support employees both now and beyond their time with the company. I also provide financial education and ongoing support, helping employees better understand their options and feel more confident in the decisions they’re making. My approach is simple, real conversations, practical guidance, and strategies built around real life. As a licensed Agent I offer a variety of products that can help you meet a number of insurance and financial needs, including, but not limited to college funding, retirement, managing costs for extended periods of care and lifetime income strategies. Stories like this are never easy to read, but they highlight something important.

Many people have some level of life insurance through their employer, which is a great starting point.

But one thing that often gets overlooked is what happens if you leave that job.

In my work with businesses, I help implement core benefits like group life coverage, and also introduce supplemental options that employees can choose to keep with them if they change jobs or careers.

Because life doesn’t always happen on a timeline that lines up with your employment.

Having coverage that isn’t tied to one specific job can help create more consistency and protection over time.

It’s about making sure that no matter when life changes, your family has something in place.

Life insurance helped give Stephen Miller some financial stability when he suddenly lost his wife, Katie. Katie's financial planning helped secure the family's financial future during a time of loss and crisis.

The recent 70-car pileup on I-70 here in Colorado is hard to wrap your head around.

So many vehicles.
So many people.
All caught in a situation that escalated in seconds.

Thankfully, no lives were lost.

But events like this are a powerful reminder of how quickly things can change.

In situations like that, fault isn’t always clear.
Responsibility can be shared.
And the financial impact can extend far beyond what anyone expects.

Medical bills.
Vehicle damage.
Missed time at work.

It adds up quickly.

Most people think, “that would never happen to me.”
But the reality is, anything can happen.

Not just on the road, but in life.

Your home.
Your health.
Your ability to earn an income.

We don’t prepare for these things because we expect them to happen.
We prepare because we know they can.

Moments like this also bring a sense of gratitude.

🙏🏼Grateful for safety.
🙏🏼Grateful for protection.
🙏🏼Grateful for the things we often don’t think about until we need them.

Because when the unexpected happens, having the right protections in place can make all the difference in how you recover and move forward.

About 70 vehicles involved in pileup that closed Interstate 70 for hours sent 8 people to the hospital.

Most people think protection planning is about worst-case scenarios.

In reality, it’s about protecting everyday life.

✓ The home you’ve built.
✓ The opportunities you want for your children.
✓ The stability your family depends on.

Financial planning isn’t about expecting the worst.

It’s about being prepared for life’s uncertainties.

“I’m not as worried about myself anymore… I just want to make sure my kids are okay.”

I hear this more often than people might think.

Sometimes it’s said quietly.
Sometimes it comes up in the middle of a completely different conversation.

But it always means the same thing.

Something shifts when you become responsible for someone else.

You stop thinking only about today.

You start thinking about what would happen if you weren’t here tomorrow.

Not in a dramatic way. Just… realistically.

Because it’s no longer just about you.

It’s about the people who depend on you, the life you’re building, and making sure it doesn’t fall apart if something unexpected happens.

And for a lot of people, that’s the moment they realize they’ve been meaning to plan… but haven’t gotten around to it yet.

Preparing financially isn’t just about today.

It’s about protecting the people who matter most, especially in the moments life doesn’t warn you about.

This weekend was one of those reminders of why I love what I do and the spaces I’m choosing to be in.

It started with co-hosting a Child Safety Event for foster and adoptive parents, which was such a meaningful way to support families navigating really important responsibilities.

Then I spent Sunday at the Matcha & Mingle event in Denver, surrounded by so many incredible women, content creators, realtors, entrepreneurs, analysts, photographers, and more.

What stood out most wasn’t just what everyone does… it was the energy in the room.

Women showing up.

Supporting each other.

Sharing ideas.

Looking for ways to collaborate instead of compete.

Those are the kinds of spaces I want to continue putting myself in.

Spaces where growth, connection, and genuine support all exist at the same time.

As Women’s History Month comes to a close, it feels especially meaningful to be part of communities like this.

“Ignore the glass ceiling and do your work. If you are focusing on the glass ceiling, focusing on what you don’t have, focusing on the limitations, then you will be limited.”

One financial habit I encourage women to build:

Ask questions!!!

→ Understand how things work.
→ Understand what decisions are being made.
→ Understand what protections are in place.

Know things like:
✓ Where accounts are held.
✓ What insurance or protections exist for your family.
✓ Who to contact if something unexpected happens.
✓ What the long-term plan actually looks like.

Financial confidence doesn’t come from knowing everything.

It comes from being involved enough that you understand the big picture.

Because financial knowledge builds confidence.
And confidence builds independence.

Getting ready for the Denver Matcha & Mingle Mini Market this weekend…and putting together these goodie bags has honestly been one of my favorite parts 🫶🏼

Each one includes a few small things, but also something I care a lot about…little reminders and affirmations.

Because sometimes the smallest messages are the ones we need to hear the most.

Events like this are about so much more than just showing up.

They’re about being in rooms with people who are building something.
People who support each other.
People who genuinely want to see each other win.

If you’re an entrepreneur, small business owner, or even just thinking about starting something… these are the kinds of spaces you want to find yourself in.

The connections you make and the support you feel in rooms like this can be incredibly powerful.

I’m so excited to be featured at this one and to meet so many amazing people 🤍

This weekend I had the opportunity to watch my mom accept the nomination to run for her second, and final, term as Elbert County Treasurer.

As I sat there with my daughter, watching her on stage, I couldn’t help but think about everything it took to get to this moment.

This is a woman who has walked through some incredibly hard seasons in life and kept going.

After my parents divorced, she worked more than one job just to make ends meet.

She chose to bet on herself and run for public office, something many people, even those fully capable, would never have the courage to do.

And this year marks 30 years of her working in the Treasurer’s office!

Thirty years of consistency.
Of resilience.
Of showing up, no matter what life looked like behind the scenes.

Now, being a mom myself, I understand so much more.

The sacrifices.
The decisions.
The strength it takes to keep moving forward, even when things feel uncertain.

Watching her stand on that stage, with my daughter there to witness it too, was a moment I’ll cherish.

She could have let life knock her off course more than once. But instead, she kept going.
And built something she can be incredibly proud of.

I’m so incredibly proud to be her daughter!
