Women's Estate Planning Council

Women's Estate Planning Council The Women's Estate Planning Council in Denver was created to promote interaction between women professionals: educationally, professionally, and socially.

The Women's Estate Planning Council ("WEPC") in the Denver area was created to promote interaction between women estate planning professionals educationally, professionally, and socially. A group of women from the financial service, accounting, and legal areas came together to form the first Women's Estate Planning Council in the Denver area. WEPC was founded in February, 1995 when the by-laws wer

e approved and the first dues were collected. From a small group of a dozen women, membership has grown to over 90 professional women and men working in the estate planning field.

For our April meeting, we had an excellent presentation from Kirstin Pineiro, from Otten Johnson on Business Succession Planning. She covered a range of topics including; identifying potential successors, ways to keep key players invested in the business and future ownership, buy-sell agreements and protecting the value / integrity of the business. It was an outstanding presentation!

Hi Friends,

For our February meeting, our speaker had a last minute conflict and cannot attend. We thought this would be a great opportunity to have structured networking at the meeting. We will work out the exact format at our board meeting prior to the WEPC 5:30 start time, so please submit any suggestions you have. Also, please bring some extra business cards for this fun and casual event. Unfortunately, CLE will not be provided.

It is a conference that offers professional credits to attorneys, CPAs, CFPs, and insurance professionals, and can often fulfill the annual requirement in one week! Let me know your thoughts if you have attended, or would like to attend.
