Hey you… Yeah, YOU — new small business owner!
You started your business because you were dang good at something, right?
You had a passion.
A skill.
A service people needed.
And at some point you thought… “Why am I not doing this for myself?”
So you did. And congrats to taking that leap!
But then came all the stuff nobody really talks about.
The taxes.
The paperwork.
The bookkeeping.
The marketing.
The awkward sales conversations.
The chasing payments.
The insurance.
The decisions.
The “wait… I’m supposed to know how to do THAT too?!” moments.....
Because apparently owning a business means becoming the CEO, salesperson, marketer, bill collector, IT department, receptionist, janitor AND professional Googler overnight.
So I’m curious…
What has been the ONE part of owning a business that completely blindsided you?
The thing you genuinely did NOT realize you were signing up for when you decided to chase the thing you loved. I don't want that polished business-owner answers either... Give me the real stuff!
