The Day after National Tax Day - April 15th. I sat in the same chair, trying to get a handle of the next several month's tax work. The last 3 days, we have been awash in phone calls, emails, texts, and managed chaos. Some of our staff walked out of the office at 2 AM last night (err today.)
Today, the phone only rang once. Amazing difference.
Our group finished strong, with the work of all our partners - John and Sharon Saponari, Rev. Robert Bailey, and our office supervisors, receptionists, and seasoned tax preparers. We finished with higher customers served (3.5% increase). Our retention rate pushed close to 80%. We are among the highest of leaders of the tax business in the DeKalb, Sycamore, and Belvidere/Roscoe markets. Our staff of dedicated, loyal, and caring people go beyond what is expected. We appreciate their work.
It has been a season of long hours,, and overcoming the various complexities and obstacles of tax work. Today, we are extremely grateful for all the special people that are a part of the process, especially our customers. We serve the finest quality of clients who are impressive and thoughtful.
The second part of the season begins today, and we look forward to finishing the 2nd season. First, we stop to not only rest, but also to thank the Lord for His strength, blessing and help.
