This week on our Meet the Team series, we are introducing...

Skylin Burgess

Skylin joined BPB in 2022 serving as an administrative assistant in our Leesville office. She has since transitioned into a Bookkeeper, and serves many of our clients with their monthly bookkeeping and payroll.

She shared that one of her favorite things about BPB is how we start our mornings together as a team in prayer. She shared that having a work family that encourages you through each season of life is so valuable.

We are thankful to have Skylin as a team member, and cannot wait to share our next team member with you all next week!

The Extension deadlines are upon us!!

If we filed a 2025 extension for your business tax return and you still haven't provided documentation - the time is now!!

All extended business returns are due on September 15, 2026.

This week for Meet the Team Tuesday, we are spotlighting...

Christina Kaltsas

Christina is a bookkeeper at Boddie, Plush and Branch and joined the team in January of 2022. Prior to BPB, she spent many years working in customer service and has incorporated those skills into her every day tasks.

Christina shared that her favorite thing about BPB is how close knit the work team is. She said it truly feels like she spends the day with her family, which makes her job even better. She shared that she is grateful for the endless opportunities to learn and grow, and how much support she receives from the team.

We are so thankful to have Christina as a part of the team, and look forward to sharing another team member next week!

It's Meet the Team Tuesday, and this week we are introducing -

Traci Bumgardner

Traci started with BPB in 2021 serving as an Administrative Assistant in our Moss Bluff office.

She shared that BPB brings her ample opportunities to continue learning while being challenged daily. She said working for a faith oriented company is so rewarding, and she enjoys getting to interact and serve our clients every tax season. She said knowing her co-workers care about not only her, but her family as well, makes her job so special.

We are so thankful for Traci, and look forward to many more years with her on our team!

Our Partner, Andrew, had some very good information to share on the Trump Accounts -

Did you know that, if you had a child born in 2025-2028, the government will give you $1,000 free to start a retirement type account for the child?

Even if you never contribute anything yourself after opening it and getting the $1,000, why not open it and get the $1,000 and just let that grow?

If you just take the $1K and let it grow (assume a modest 5% return) until they are 65, it will amount to almost $25K. If it averages 10% return, it would end up being around $490K!! That is a nice retirement amount without you putting in a penny.

This week on our Meet the Team we are introducing -

Audine Stephens

Audine is serving as our Office Manager and is a large part of the glue that holds us together. Before joining our team, Audine was the Owner and Director of Bright Beginnings Daycare for ten years. After the devastating loss due to Hurricane Laura, she joined the BPB family and has been with us for 5 years.

Audine shared that she loves the Christ-centered atmosphere BPB brings, and thoroughly enjoys celebrating each milestone for her co-workers and their families.

We are truly thankful for Audine and all she does to keep our firm running smoothly.

Brooklyn Hill

Brooke started at BPB as an administrative assistant in 2021, and is now working as a Staff Accountant. She graduated from Grand Canyon University in 2025 with a Bachelors in Secondary Education in English.

Brooke shared that her favorite thing about BPB is that there is always an opportunity to learn and serve. She said that having a work family that is always encouraging you to grow, not only in your work but in your faith, is something that you never want to leave once you find it. She also shared that being able to assist clients, even with small tasks, is always rewarding.

We are so thankful to have Brooke as a team member, and can't wait to share more next week!

Alexia Cooley

Lexi graduated from McNeese State University in 2021 with her Bachelors of Science in Accounting. She joined the team shortly after serving as a Staff Accountant. Lexi brings a lot of knowledge to the team that many of our clients share are a big assist.

Lexi shared that her favorite thing about working at BPB is that she gets to work alongside people that push her to be a better accountant and genuinely want the best for her. She said her work family truly cares about her, her family, her struggles, and her opinion. She said that she has gained so much knowledge at BPB that exceeds just accounting.

We are so thankful to have Lexi as a team member, and can't wait to share more next week!
