In case you hadn't heard there's more time to file for some states! There is an automatic extension for 2024 returns for many states including FL, GA, NC, SC & more until May 1st.

IR-2025-41, April 4, 2025 — The Internal Revenue Service today reminds individuals and businesses in area covered by 2024 disaster declarations that their 2024 federal income tax returns and tax payments for tax year 2024 are due on Thursday, May 1, 2025.

People who didn’t file their tax year 2021 federal tax returns may be eligible for a refund if they file by the April 15 deadline, however tax year 2021 refunds may be held if taxpayers have not filed returns for 2022 and 2023. In addition, any refund amount for 2021 will be applied to amounts still owed to the IRS or a state tax agency and may be used to offset unpaid child support or other past due federal debts such as student loans.

IR-2025-46, April 11, 2025 ― The Internal Revenue Service today reminded the 1.1 million people who didn’t file their tax year 2021 federal tax returns that they may be eligible for a refund if they file by the April 15 deadline.
