So when my daughter was 13 I asked her what she wanted to drive when she turned 16. Without hesitation she said I’d like a 1975 Cadillac El Dorado, convertible Bombay Yellow with White interior. After picking my jaw up off the floor she proceeded to tell me the difference between Cadillac years and the reason why she wanted that particular vehicle. I then told her she had to do the leg work that wasn’t an easy find. She spent the next 2 1/2 years finding cars, make calls and doing what a 13-14-15 yr old could do to find the car. I was proud of her not giving up and learning along the way, that I thought we should just rebuild that dream car together and learn and grow with each other. So with thanks to Buddy Adams who just happened to have one. I surprised Darla with this project car to complete by her Sweet 16 Birthday. We are going to post the progress and welcome any special skilled peeps. We don’t plan to do the full restoration ourselves. An early thanks and shout out to Michael Egan for offering to take on the upholstery work.

As a good birthday joke I gave her 6 pieces of the car rapped separately and told her I was going to buy the car a couple of pieces at a time ( I had to have fun with it)
