I'm changing my workout plan!
It or not 2 exercises with 2 sets each was too much for my body to handle in a cut...
I'm dropping down to 3 days a week, and will be working on pullups, pistols (one leg squats) and a planche/planche pushup.

Over 20 miles today just one step at a time!

Small steps is all it takes!
About 15 minutes per day of lifting
Walking on the treadmill instead of sitting at a desk during my morning sermon preparation time.
Running one day a week for about an hour.

Slowly built up to these three small steps, adding one at a time, and now, a year later seeing the results.

Yesterday I talked about resting when you're tired.
Today, just a reminder to feed yourself if you're going to do something strenuous!

If you are losing weight, you're on a diet, in a cutting phase, whatever you want to call it make sure if you're doing something out of the ordinary that strenuous that you feed yourself for it.

For example, I run one day a week. On that day, I make sure that I'm eating enough calories to fuel that run. You might think that that run will just lead to extra fat loss, but if you're eating under your necessary calories, that longer run will actually tell your body you need to store fat because it needs to be ready for the next time you need calories for a long run.

Rest or follow the plan?
There's always the question when you have a workout plan, when should I rest?
Maybe you have a 5 day a week workout plan or a 3 day a week workout plan, but your workout comes up and you aren't sure if you should work out or not, how do you determine to workout or not?

A few tips:
If the body part you're working out is sore, don't do that workout. You have not recovered.

If your body feels tired, don't workout.
Sometimes you are sleepy and it's ok to work out through that, but if your body feels tired, you need to take a day off.

If either of these are true and you haven't gotten 8 hrs of sleep the last few nights (let's face it, you probably didn't) you will have a better fitness outcome by sleeping an extra half hour.

It's not laziness, it's recovery.

So bulking was fun, the last year and a half, I have been gaining muscle. I have done it with minimal fat gain (using electrical impedence)
I have gained 18 lbs total, 4 of which are fat.

That is acceptable for me. You will almost always gain some fat when you're gaining muscle and now it's time for me to start watching what I'm eating a bit.

The good news is that all that new muscle burns calories!
