Splitting retirement accounts in a divorce can have unintended tax results if done incorrectly. Paying 401(k) funds early to an ex-spouse can avoid the 10% penalty, but a qualified domestic relations order(QDRO) is necessary. This QRDO does not apply to IRA's.

If you are considering an Advantage Plan instead of Medicare and a supplement, please look at all the information. I have a friend that has something rare, been in the hospital for two weeks. Doctors say she needs acute care when she leaves the hospital and her Advantage Plan says they won't pay for it. They are saying she can rehab at home. She was healthy and didn't consider something major could happen and even then thought she would be covered. If she was on medicare this would not have happened. An Advantage Plan is not medicare. Once you choose the Advantage Plan, they take your money that is taken out of your social security for medicare and give it to the insurance companies and they have their own rules. If you do have one, I would look into switching back to medicare.

Trump Accounts will be available to set up sometime in July. You have to make an election to set up the account by filing form 4547 or using the online tool at trumpaccounts.gov. Not sure when that tool will be available. The child will not receive the $1000.00 unless there is an account set up. The $1000.00 is available to any child born in 2025 and the end of 2028 as long as there is an account.
