Monte Vista FILM FILM is a video production club at Monte Vista High School in Danville, CA. Franco. throughout the course of the school year. in order to promote their election.

Preamble
PURPOSE

The FILM Club is being organized for the purpose of bringing people together to effectively create, view, and enjoy certain aspects of cinematic production. We welcome everyone from actors and cameramen to directors and producers to boom operators and lighting technicians. Article I
NAME AND ADVISOR

MEMBERSHIP
In order to become and remain a member of FILM, one must adhere to all requirements listed:
• Members must attempt to attend all club meetings and activities
• Members are required to be proactive and must contribute creatively to the Club
• All members will be open minded to opinions of others and uphold an atmosphere of respect

Article III
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
Section 1:
FILM provides an opportunity to those who enjoy creative teamwork, who might want to pursue film as a career, and those who have an all around passion for film. As a club, we hope to start and finish the whole production process of multiple short films, commercials, etc. With an optimistic cast and crew, the year of 2013-2014 should be a smashing success. Section 2:
FILM hopes to hold activities outside of school as well as in school; ranging from watching movies to making short films and commercials. These will be the host of many more activities run through the organization, as they will take many dates to get through. Article IV

Article V
OFFICER SELECTION, TERM OF OFFICE AND DUTIES OF OFFICERS
Section 1:
The elections of new officers will be held at the end of a school year and will be determined from current members. A ballot of running candidates will be made and the candidates will give some sort of influential debate (whether by video, speech, PowerPoint, etc.) The body of non-candidate members will then silently vote on the ballot and the top candidates for each office will be chosen. Thus, new officers are elected. Section 2:
Officers are chosen by any non-candidate member (as specified in Section 1, Article V). Candidates may not vote. Section 3:
The elections are held during one of the last club meetings of the year (to be determined later in the year). Section 4:
Each term of office lasts one school year. (Exception: if all remaining officers wish to impeach and remove a specific officer based on his or her actions. All remaining officers must agree to remove the officer. If this occurs, a new officer will be chosen to fill the spot by the remaining current officers. No election will be held and the term will last until the end of the school year.) Section 5:
Duties of [President]:
• To preside over club meetings and activities
• To lead the club in achieving goals and conducting projects
• To represent FILM in all aspects of the club and Student Government events
• To develop club agendas for meetings and activities
• To attend as many FILM events as possible
• To conduct leadership and leadership training for new officers
• To announce all events and projects to members
• To attend inter-club meetings
• To oversee MVHS Master Calender form
• To assure club operation under the regulation of Student Government
Duties of [Vice President]:
• To assist the President
• To be knowledgeable in club events, projects, etc.
• To be flexible and of use to club officers and members
• To oversee scheduling and communication
• To attend inter-club meetings
• To oversee equipment
Duties of [Secretary]:
• To maintain all club records
• To record and keep minutes of all meetings and events and provide copies for ASB at the counseling office
• To arrange and help guests or speakers
• To keep attendance records
• To keep member information
• To communicate events and projects via email or phone to members or others
• To attend inter-club meetings
• To maintain all club records
• To attend to amendment requests
Duties of [Treasurer]:
• To maintain financial records
• To organize accounting and budgeting
• To organize all fundraising events
• To promote donors and sponsors
• To keep a general log on club financial staus
• To oversee and conduct all financial transactions
• To collect all club dues and donations
• To keep all records up-to-date and accurate
• To attend inter-club meetings

Article VI
MEETINGS
The time and frequency may be determined at officer discretion, but FILM will meet at school at least once per month. Additional meetings and events may be held outside of school at various locations. In school, the meetings will most likely be held in the classroom of the faculty advisor. The method by which special meetings may be called include:
• posters on campus
• email through Schoolloop and/or personal email
• calls by phone

Article VII
AMENDMENTS
Requests for constitutional amendments that specify what will be amended and how, can be made by any member of FILM (officer or non-officer). The request will be submitted to the Secretary via email or in-person at club meetings. The Secretary will review the request and forward or relay the request to the remaining officers. The officers will then notify the club members of the request at a club meeting and hold a vote by raise of hand wether or not to accept the request. If the majority of members deny the request, it shall be ignored (Exception: if all officers accept the request and decide to amend the constitution, they can). If the majority of members accept it, the constitution will be amended (Exception: if all officers deny the request and decide to ignore the amendment, they can). [A majority is more than fifty percent of non-officer members]. Article VIII
FINANCES
Section 1:
A recommended donation of $5+ per member is accepted at time membership is approved. The Treasurer, with consent from the remaining officers, is responsible for monitoring and arranging for appropriate budget expansion and fundraising. An attempt to gain sponsors will be made (again with the Treasurer responsible, with consent from remaining officers) and/or donations from outside sources. Advertising for the club, donation requests, etc. will help raise profit for FILM. Section 2:
The Treasurer brings expenses to the attention of the remaining officers and all officers will approve expense requests. The Treasurer will monitor finance levels and will be responsible for expenses on things such as equipment for film production. Equipment can be borrowed from outsiders or members can bring in personal belongings. Expenses will be approved by a majority [or 50%] by all members, including officers, with the reasonable knowledge of financial levels. Section 3:
The Treasurer (with the help of the remaining officers) will monitor the budget, as he or she has the most familiarity with club financial levels.
