Your small business may be eligible for big first-year Section 179 depreciation tax deductions for new and used heavy SUVs, pickups and vans placed in service in 2025. You must use the vehicle more than 50% for business. The write-off will reduce your federal income tax and self-employment tax bill, if applicable. This tax break is only available for a purchased (not leased) SUV, pickup, or van with a manufacturer’s gross vehicle weight rating above 6,000 pounds. The 2025 limit on Sec. 179 deductions for heavy SUVs $31,300. First-year depreciation deductions for lighter vehicles are subject to smaller depreciation limits of up to $20,400 in 2024. (The 2025 amount hasn’t come out yet.)

Staying compliant with payroll tax laws is crucial for small businesses. Mistakes can lead to fines, strained employee relationships and legal consequences. Here are four quick tips: 1) Maintain organized records so you can verify to the IRS that you’re withholding and remitting the correct amounts. 2) Understand withholding and adhere to filing and deposit deadlines. A “responsible person” who willfully fails to withhold or deposit employment taxes can be held personally liable for a steep penalty. 3) Stay current with regulatory changes. 4) Seek professional advice. We can help you select the right system, calculate employee withholding, navigate multi-state filing requirements and more.

The best way to grow your nest egg is to save for retirement today. There’s still time if you’re eligible and you didn’t contribute the maximum amount allowed in 2024 to a traditional IRA or SEP.

😍❤️Gifts are my #1 love language. Christmas is THE holiday for me and I love to see gifts for me under the tree!!! I also love giving and celebrating the holiday season. I am done with most of my Christmas holiday shopping. On my list are my boys and man, friends and other family.
📝 Yes, I have a list, and yes I have a budget.
💵In my employee years, we got these nice sized bonuses before christmas, often paid with our first December paycheck😃! Gift giving was sorted!!! Now as an entrepreneur, I start to set money aside a couple months in advance to cover the extra expense for thanksgiving and December festivities.
Here are a few dos and don’ts I have figured out along my journey of love with Christmas and the gift giving season.

🎁Do consider personal tastes: Tailor gifts to the recipient's hobbies, interests, and preferences.
Do think beyond material items: Experiences, subscriptions, or handmade gifts can be just as meaningful.
🎁Do remember your boss and coworkers. These do not have to be large gifts but the thought is usually highly appreciated.
🎁Do mind your budget: Gifts don't need to be extravagant; thoughtful gestures often mean the most.
🎁Do compare prices - Often you can find the same item being sold at a lower price by one seller vs another.
🎁Do give with love and appreciation. Gifts should be an expression of love.
🎁Do decide in your heart what to give with joy and not compulsion!
🎁Do observe your financial boundaries and self love
🎁Do put yourself on the list. You deserve to also enjoy the money you work hard for!

👉🏽Don’t wait till the last-minute rush: Plan ahead to avoid stress and ensure thoughtful selections.
👉🏽Don’t overspend for reciprocity or accolades: Gift-giving should come from the heart, not out of obligation, compulsion, gas-lighting or fear of criticism
👉🏽Don’t give out of guilt because you think you make more money
👉🏽Don’t give to be seen or to be loved. You are intrinsically worthy of love!

🎄May you enjoy giving and receiving gifts this holiday season! 🎀✨
