A Message to All Current Students, Graduates, Parents, Staff, Alumni, and Friends of CAN Leadership Academy B**g (CAN-BONG)

Over the past few days, many people have heard discussions regarding a possible partnership and turnover arrangement involving CAN Leadership Academy B**g (CAN-BONG), formerly known as Alexandria A. Andrews Academy (Triple A), and B**g County University (BCU). As a result, some students, graduates, parents, teachers, staff members, and community leaders have understandably raised questions and concerns.

Today, I want to personally address those concerns and provide clarity.
First and foremost: CAN Leadership Academy B**g (CAN-BONG) is NOT being shut down.
The grade school remains the foundation of our nationwide educational mission and vision. Everything we have built over the years started with our commitment to providing quality and affordable education to children and young people throughout Liberia. That commitment remains unchanged.

Let me also be very clear:
No final decision has been made regarding CAN-BONG.
While discussions and consultations are currently taking place concerning a possible partnership and turnover arrangement with B**g County University (BCU), no conclusion has been reached.
No final decision has been made.
No agreement has been finalized.
No document has been signed.

Likewise, discussions are also taking place regarding CAN Leadership Academy Nimba (CAN-NIMBA), formerly Wyatt Leadership Academy, and Nimba County University (NCU). However, just like CAN-BONG, these conversations remain at the discussion stage, and no final action has been taken.
The only educational institution that has already been successfully transferred through a formal partnership arrangement is: CAN Leadership Academy Lofa (CAN-LOFA)
through our partnership with Lofa County University (LCU).
That partnership has helped expand educational opportunities in Lofa County while preserving the mission, history, legacy, and educational opportunities for students and the community.
Regardless of what future partnerships may or may not occur.

CAN Leadership Academy B**g (CAN-BONG) will continue operating as a grade school institution. The discussions currently taking place are focused on expanding educational opportunities and strengthening long-term sustainability—not eliminating elementary and secondary education.
The reason we are exploring partnerships with public universities is simple:
• To make education more available, affordable, and accessible to more Liberians.
• To strengthen educational opportunities for future generations.
• To create a stronger pathway from elementary and secondary education into higher education.
• To maximize resources and avoid unnecessary duplication of institutions.
• To support the Government of Liberia's efforts to expand quality education nationwide.
• To ensure the long-term sustainability of educational investments made by churches, volunteers, supporters, partners, and community members.
As someone who grew up in rural Liberia and understands firsthand the power of education to transform lives, every decision we make is guided by one important question:
“How can we create greater opportunities for the next generation of Liberians?”

To all of our graduates:
Your academic documents remain fully valid.
Whether your records carry the name:
• Alexandria A. Andrews Academy (Triple A)
• CAN Leadership Academy B**g (CAN-BONG)
• CAN Leadership Academy Lofa (CAN-LOFA)
• CAN Leadership Academy Nimba (CAN-NIMBA)
• Or any other CAN educational institution
your certificates, transcripts, report cards, diplomas, recommendation letters, and academic records remain authentic, legitimate, recognized, and part of the permanent historical record of the institution.
Nothing about these discussions changes the validity of your educational achievements.
To our current students:
Stay focused on your education.
Continue studying hard.
Continue dreaming big.
Your future remains bright, and your school remains an important part of our educational family.

To our parents, teachers, alumni, supporters, and community members:
Thank you for your trust, support, encouragement, and prayers over the years. These conversations are being guided by one central goal:
Creating Greater Educational Opportunities for Future Generations of Liberians.
Whatever decisions are ultimately made will be done carefully, prayerfully, transparently, responsibly, and with the best interests of students, families, communities, and Liberia at heart.
What began years ago as a vision to help a few children has grown into a movement impacting communities across Liberia.

Today, we continue to seek ways to strengthen that vision so that future generations can dream bigger, achieve more, and help build a stronger Liberia.
This is not about giving up on education.
This is about strengthening education.
This is not about closing schools.
This is about creating more opportunities.
This is not about walking away from our mission.
This is about ensuring that the mission continues long after we are gone.
The foundation remains strong.
The schools remain open and fully operational.
The mission remains alive.
The vision continues to grow.
And by the grace of God, we will continue building a brighter future for Liberia—one student at a time.
As we prayerfully consider the future, we are reminded of the wisdom of God's Word:
"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor."
— Ecclesiastes 4:9 (KJV) And also: "Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it." — Habakkuk 2:2 (KJV)
These Scriptures remind us that great things happen when people work together for a common purpose and when a vision is faithfully carried forward from one generation to the next.
Our desire has always been bigger than a single school, a single community, or even a single county. Our vision is to help create greater educational opportunities for all Liberians and to leave behind institutions that will continue serving future generations long after we are gone.
Through partnership, collaboration, and a shared commitment to education, we believe we can create a brighter future for Liberia and provide even greater opportunities for current and future generations of Liberians.

Please help us share this important information with our students, graduates, parents, staff, alumni, supporters, and community members across Liberia and around the world.

Together, we can keep our communities informed, united, and focused on our shared mission of expanding educational opportunities for current and future generations of Liberians.

“From Serving Individual Liberians to Giving Back to an Entire Nation — Oh! It’s Just God!”

On Wednesday, May 20, 2025, in my hometown of Fissibu, Zorzor District, Lofa County, Northern Liberia, marked a truly historic, emotional, and humbling moment in the history of our work in Liberia. By the grace of God, Change Agent Network (CAN) / Opportunity Network Liberia (ONL) officially entered into a landmark turnover and strategic partnership agreement with the Liberian Government through the Lofa County University (LCU), helping pave the way for greater access to higher education, community development, and long-term national transformation in Liberia. The Change Agent Network University (CAN University) has been turned over to the Liberian Government and is now serving as Lofa County University Annex 1 for generations to come.

It is amazing and deeply humbling to witness what God can do when ordinary people simply say “yes” to Him.
Years ago, this vision started with a burden to help underserved children and young people in Liberia through education, hope, opportunity, faith, and empowerment. Today, by the grace of God and through the sacrifices of so many wonderful people around the world, we have gone from helping individual Liberians to now giving back to the entire country of Liberia through sustainable educational partnership and national development.

Oh! It’s just God!

What began as a simple vision has now grown into:
Change Agent Network University (CAN-U)
CAN Leadership Academy Lofa (CAN-LOFA)
Educational initiatives impacting communities across Liberia
And now a transformational partnership with Lofa County University for the future of higher education in rural Liberia
This milestone belongs to:
The people of Liberia
The citizens and leadership of Fissebu Town
Our students and staff
Churches and volunteers
Friends and supporters around the world
Government officials and partners
And every single person who believed in this vision when there was almost nothing on the ground
We are especially grateful to God Almighty for His faithfulness throughout this entire journey. There were many difficult seasons, impossible moments, sacrifices, setbacks, and times we did not know how things would work out — but God remained faithful every single step of the way.

As we move forward, our prayer remains the same:
To continue breaking the cycle of poverty in Liberia through education, faith, leadership development, youth empowerment, and economic freedom for generations to come.
This is not the end of the vision — it is the beginning of a greater national impact.

May this generation of Liberians rise to build a nation greater than the one we inherited.

What a powerful and historic moment for the Kingdom of God and the nation of Liberia! 🇱🇷✈️🌍

On Friday night, May 15, 2026, fifteen amazing students and leaders from Christ for the Nations Institute arrived safely in Liberia for another life-changing mission trip.

These young men and women represent different nations around the world, united by one mission — to serve Jesus Christ, impact lives, discover God’s purpose for their lives, and catch a greater vision for global missions and Kingdom service.

This overseas mission experience is a major part of their studies at CFNI. It is designed not only to equip students academically, but also to raise compassionate leaders, missionaries, and world changers who are willing to go wherever God calls them.

We are especially grateful that this is now the third consecutive year that Christ for the Nations Institute has faithfully sent mission teams to Liberia. This consistency demonstrates genuine love, commitment, and long-term investment in the people and future of Liberia.

Over the years, these mission trips have brought encouragement, spiritual growth, leadership development, discipleship, and practical ministry support to churches, schools, children, families, and underserved communities across our nation.

The warmth, resilience, hospitality, and faith of the Liberian people continue to make Liberia a powerful place for ministry, learning, transformation, and purpose discovery.

This mission is also a powerful reminder that meaningful and sustainable transformation does not happen in isolation — it happens through partnership.

When ministries, churches, leaders, organizations, and communities come together with one vision and one purpose, lives are changed, communities are strengthened, and the Kingdom of God advances in extraordinary ways.

Partnership creates unity, strength, accountability, encouragement, and greater impact. Alone we can do little, but together we can accomplish far more for the glory of God and the upliftment of humanity.

A very special thank you and heartfelt appreciation to the four major mission organizations and leaders in Liberia partnering with CFNI in making this vision possible:

1️⃣ Kathy Justice Girls Educational Foundation Liberia
Led by Thomas Malord Saydee

2️⃣ Care Outreach Initiative
Led by James Howard Mattaldi

3️⃣ Change Agent Network
Led by Eric W. Wowoh

4️⃣ New Life Recovery Center
Led by Jefferson B. Knight

Together, we are building bridges of hope, raising transformational leaders, sharing the love of Jesus Christ, and advancing God’s Kingdom across Liberia and beyond.

Please continue to pray with us throughout this mission trip — for safety, wisdom, spiritual growth, divine encounters, and lasting impact in the lives of both the students and the communities they will serve.

The nations are coming together for the glory of God, and Liberia is part of the story! 🇱🇷🔥🙏

“When nations unite in faith, love, and service, lives are transformed and generations are changed.”

Good morning from Liberia, West Africa.
Warm greetings from the resilient people of Liberia, especially our underserved children and young people. I pray that you are all doing well by the grace of God.

The weekend of April 24, 2026, I had the opportunity to visit my hometown, and birthplace, Fissibu Town, Lofa County, again. I am pleased to share a powerful update with you. The zincing of the administrative building at the Change Agent Network University (CAN-U) campus is progressing very well and is now nearing completion.

This milestone is a true testament to what can be accomplished when people come together with a shared vision. I want to thank our dedicated staff, students, community members, local leaders, government officials, partners, friends, and supporters for making this dream a reality.

We are especially grateful for the support and partnership of His Excellency, President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, whose commitment continues to strengthen our mission of making education available, accessible, and affordable for all Liberians.

What we are witnessing today is not just the construction of a building, but the building of hope, opportunity, and a brighter future for generations to come.

Together, we are thinking Liberia, loving Liberia, and building Liberia all to the glory of God!
“Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.” – Psalm 127:1

Thanks a million, folks, take care and remain blessed!

Happy Easter, family, friends, and partners! ✝️
Even here in Liberia, we are reminded that God’s grace is sufficient, His timing is perfect, and His resurrection power is real.

This season reminds us that no situation is too far gone for God to restore. What looked like an ending turned out to be a new beginning.
Let us hold on to hope, walk by faith, and trust Him completely.

He is risen indeed! 🙌

🇱🇷 PRESIDENT BOAKAI & ERIC W. WOWOH PARTNER TO ADVANCE NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT THROUGH CAN UNIVERSITY
Liberia continues to move forward with purpose and vision. In a significant step toward strengthening education, agriculture, and youth empowerment, His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai has fulfilled key commitments made to CAN University, working in partnership with Mr. Eric W. Wowoh, Founder and CEO of the Change Agent Network (CAN).
The President’s support—including funding for infrastructure and solar energy—represents more than just an investment in a university; it is an investment in the future of Liberia. CAN University, located in Lofa County, continues to serve as a beacon of hope for underserved communities, particularly in Salayea and Zorzor Districts. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to national development through practical solutions in education and sustainable growth.
What makes this story even more powerful is the foundation upon which CAN University was built. The land was generously donated by the people of Fissibu Town—Mr. Wowoh’s birthplace—and the development of the campus has been made possible through collective sacrifice. Over 80% of funding has come from abroad, especially from Friends of Liberia and Liberians in the United States, while local communities in Liberia have also contributed significantly through labor, support, and unwavering belief in the vision. This is what national unity looks like—Liberians at home and abroad working together to build a better future.
From the Genesis Farm Project, a 150-acre agricultural initiative aimed at strengthening food security, to the installation of water systems and renewable energy, CAN University is positioning itself as a model for sustainable development in Liberia. President Boakai has also accepted the honor of having the College of Agriculture named after him and will serve as the Commencement Speaker at CAN University’s first graduation in July 2026—a historic moment for the institution and the nation.

On a personal note, I remain here in Liberia continuing the work on the ground. By God’s grace, I am doing well. My return to the United States remains uncertain at this time as I await the renewal of my legal documents. However, God has been faithful through it all, and I remain committed to this mission with unwavering faith and hope.

As President Boakai reminds us, “Thinking Liberia, Loving Liberia, and Building Liberia.” And as I firmly believe, “We solve our own problems when we commit ourselves to solving the problems of others.”

After five months in rural Lofa County, my heart is full of gratitude to finally be back in Monrovia—the capital city of Liberia—and especially here at CAN Leadership Academy – Montserrado (CAN-MONTS), formerly Heart of Grace School.

Seeing over 700 students learning, smiling, and full of hope reminds me why this mission matters so much. God is truly faithful.

For the past five months, I have been in Lofa County working at CAN-LOFA Grade School, CAN University, and developing the Genesis Farm—a 150-acre plot of land generously donated to CAN University for its long-term sustainability. This land will help feed the university, train students, and build a future of independence and lasting impact.

Life in rural Liberia is not easy. Internet and phone networks are extremely limited, which is why it has been quiet from my end. But please know that God has been working powerfully behind the scenes.

Seeds have been planted—in the ground and in the lives of people.

I am deeply grateful to our staff, partners, supporters, and everyone who continues to believe in this vision. Your prayers and support make this work possible.

The mission is alive. The future is bright.

To God be all the glory. 🇱🇷🙏

Grace and peace to you, and special Calvary greetings from the children and people of Liberia. We hope you and your family are doing well as we begin this new year together.
God is still on the throne!

By the special grace of God, I am doing well, even amid many
challenges—immigration and legal matters, travel restrictions, economic pressures, and the global decline in international aid, especially from the United States. Through it all, God has remained faithful.

I am still in Liberia, serving on the ground in Fissibu Town, Lofa County, where Change Agent Network University (CAN-U) is located. We are pleased to share that CAN-U will reopen in March 2026, while our grade schools across Liberia will successfully complete the first semester of the 2025–2026 academic year. Your support continues to make education, hope, and transformation possible.

This weekend marks a historic milestone as we prepare to sign an MoU for 200 acres of land generously given to CAN-U by the citizens of Wozi Town, Zorzor District, Lofa County—a gift toward long-term sustainability for generations to come.

Oh! It’s Just God!
Thank you for standing with us through prayer, generosity, and love. Even in uncertain times, your faithfulness is changing lives and restoring hope.

With deep gratitude and prayers for a blessed 2026,
Together, we are changing minds, hearts, and lives—rooted in Christ.
