Speedy Tax will open January 22nd at 9 am. I know everyone is getting ready for tax season. We originally had a start date of January 28th, but we have a new release date of January 27th per Internal Revenue Service.

Electronic Filing will begin the 27th of January. You must have your W-2’s, 1099’s, Social Security Cards, Identification, and any documents needed for tax preparation.

It is that time again, and we just want to give you a little update on the upcoming season.
Electronic Filing will begin January 23rd per IRS, and the Path Act is still in place, so refunds will not start until February. Most refunds will be processed in 21 days, but we know there are exceptions.

This year will be very different from last year. There is no look back credit, and you can only receive earned income credit if you have income. Refunds will be much lower than last year, and now will be the time to Olson for next year.

2021 Stimulus checks will be sent out the same way your 2020 check was issued. Checks are all to be sent out by January 15th. If they are received by a Third Party the check will be sent back immediately and issued through the Treasury Department.

These have started being sent out. If you haven’t recurved your stimulus it could come on a card. Watch your mail, and yes it is real. Not junk, so don’t throw it away.

Stimulus Checks that were sent to Third Party Banks were refused. Banks sent these deposits back and IRS will issue paper checks for these payment. Direct deposit information cannot be updated for these checks. They will be sent to the address on your most recent tax return.

Stimulus checks will be sent out by IRS.

04/15/2020

Paper stimulus checks will start going out on Friday, April 17th.
