NEMT business owners are some of the hardest working people I know.

Managing drivers. Coordinating rides. Dealing with brokers.

Keeping vehicles on the road.

And somewhere in between all of that — trying to keep the financial side from falling apart.

Broker reimbursements delayed. Payroll still due Friday.

Cash flow gaps that never seem to close.

If you run a medical transportation company and that sounds familiar — I'd love to connect.

I work specifically with NEMT companies on the bookkeeping, payroll, and financial clarity side.

Quick reminder for contractors heading into year-end

If you’re planning to buy equipment, tools, or a truck before December 31st, talk to your bookkeeper or accountant first.

With the new tax law changes this year, Section 179 can save you even more — up to $2.5 million in immediate write-offs on qualifying equipment.

Here’s the key:
The equipment must be in service before year-end for the deduction to count.

A short conversation with your bookkeeper can make sure everything gets recorded correctly so you don’t leave money on the table.

Questions? Drop a comment or send me a message — always happy to point you in the right direction.

The scariest thing I see? Profitable businesses going under because they didn’t see the cash flow crunch coming.

Your bank balance only tells you what happened yesterday. It doesn’t warn you about next month’s crunch.

But these 3 reports do:
✅ Cash Flow Statement → Predict next month’s bills
✅ A/R Aging → Spot slow-paying customers early
✅ P&L Trend Report → Catch profit leaks before they turn into losses

Too many business owners say: “I wish I had seen it coming.”
But you can see it coming.

5 minutes every Friday on these reports could literally save your business.

Your bookkeeper quit because your chart of accounts gave them a headache 🤕

True story: A client’s chart of accounts had:

THREE “office supplies” categories

Two “phone bills”

And one called “miscellaneous business stuff”

Their bookkeeper finally quit. And honestly? I don’t blame them.

Here’s what we fixed in 30 minutes:
❌ 52 expense categories → ✅ 12 clean, logical categories

Example transformation:
❌ “Pens,” “Paper,” “Printer ink” → ✅ “Office & Admin Expenses”
❌ “Gas,” “Uber,” “Parking” → ✅ “Travel & Transportation”
❌ “Facebook ads,” “Google ads,” “Flyers” → ✅ “Marketing & Advertising”

The result?
✔️ Reports that make sense
✔️ Taxes ready without stress
✔️ Team members understand immediately

Your chart of accounts should tell the story of your business — not confuse everyone who looks at it.

It was just easier" - famous last words before a $50K IRS penalty

The IRS doesn’t care if it was an "accident."

I’ll never forget the call from my client Sarah. She was crying:
“I thought contractors were simpler. No payroll, no taxes, just pay them and move on.”

Then the IRS audit letter arrived. Seven workers reclassified as employees. $50,000 in penalties, back payroll taxes, and interest.

Her mistake? She controlled everything:
• Set their hours
• Provided equipment
• Directed how to work
• Required them in her office

But called them "contractors."

IRS rule of thumb:

➡️ Employee = You control schedule, tools, and methods
➡️ Contractor = They decide how and when work gets done

The fix isn’t complicated—but the penalty for getting it wrong is brutal.

With tax season approaching, now’s the time to get this right.

👉 Need a second set of eyes? That’s what I do—help business owners sort this out before it becomes expensive.

What’s your biggest confusion about employee vs contractor rules?

Busy business owners: Get 3 hours back every month

I worked with a client making $500K+. She was spending 4 hours every month “catching up” in QuickBooks. Her time is worth $300/hour. That’s $1,200 of CEO time gone to data entry.

Now? She spends 5 minutes every Monday on this simple routine:

✅ Quick bank reconciliation check
✅ Categorize any mystery transactions
✅ Prep everything for the week

Result → She got 3.5 hours back. That’s $1,050/month of her time freed for growth.

👉 5 minutes of prevention > 4 hours of cleanup.

Your time is too valuable for catch-up bookkeeping.

Can I tell you one of my favorite client transformations?

She runs a thriving construction company. Great reputation, steady work, excellent revenue.

Her “bookkeeping system”? Three shoeboxes.

The problem wasn’t her skill — she was killing it in business.
The problem was she was flying blind financially.

She didn’t have clear answers to questions like:

Which jobs are actually profitable?

Am I on budget this month?

How much will I owe in taxes?

Where’s my money really going?

We spent 3 days organizing everything. Now she has:

✅ Complete spending visibility
✅ Profit margins by job type
✅ Budget tracking
✅ Year-round tax planning
✅ A foundation for better decisions

Bookkeeping isn’t just for tax time.
It’s your business intelligence system.

The relief she felt seeing her true numbers?
That’s why I love what I do.

Can I share something I notice with every business owner I work with?

They're incredibly smart, driven people who can solve complex problems all day long... but somehow their chart of accounts looks like it was organized by a tornado.

And honestly? It's not your fault.

When you started your business, nobody sat you down and said "Here's how to set up categories that will make your life easier." You just did your best with what QuickBooks gave you.

But now you're spending 2+ hours every month playing "where does this expense go?" - and that's 24+ hours a year that could be spent growing your business instead.

Here's what I love helping businesses with: creating a chart of accounts that actually makes sense for how YOU work. Simple categories. Clear logic. Reports that tell you what you need to know.

You're already doing the hard work of running a business. Your bookkeeping should make your life easier, not harder. That's exactly what we help business owners achieve.
