Are you a business owner? Do you claim meals as a deduction?

If so, make sure you are aware of the changes that were made from the One Big Beautiful Bill Act as certain meals are no longer tax deductible as of January 1, 2026.

Meals that are no longer deductible are termed "employer-provided meals for their own convenience". That includes but is not limited to in-office lunches for employees, office snacks, and occasional meals for staff/help.

Meals that remain 50% tax deductible are business meals with clients and business meetings with employees. Meals offered during a company event that are available to the general public also remains deductible.

With less than a week away from the tax deadline, we have begun filing extensions for our clients. Please assemble your tax documents and get them to our office as quickly as possible. Note that an extension is not for extra time to pay.

The tax deadline is less than a month away!

Do not delay in getting your taxes prepared and filed. If you need an extension please drop off the information you currently have to make proper extension calculations.

Friendly reminder that our cut-off date to ensure we can complete your individual taxes before the deadline is Monday, March 23rd.

What does this mean?
Run to our office and drop off your tax documents!

Existing clients - you can stop in Monday - Friday from 8AM to 5PM no appointment needed or leave them in our secure drop off box by the front door.

New clients - we are accepting new clients. Please call the office and based upon the complexities of your return we can determine if an initial meeting is necessary.
