The IRS announced on Monday January 8 that it plans to officially open up to accept and process tax returns as of Monday January 29th.

Now how does this affect you and why should it interest you?

Here’s why:
👉🏼 IRS needs time to update their systems and revamp as they do every year in efforts to make each tax year much more efficient and a better experience for their department, tax professionals and especially you the taxpayer in mind.
👉🏼 IRS wants to prevent early filing practices such as filing tax returns with paystubs instead of official and acceptable tax documents.
👉🏼 IRS tends to open on the last Monday of the month of January which is this case happens to land further out than usual as this year we have 5 Mondays instead of the usual 4.

How does this affect you?
👉🏼 First round of approved tax refunds will be sent during the first week of February.
👉🏼 Expecting your refund later than usual in comparison to prior years.

Why should it interests you?
👉🏼 Allows tax advocacy programs continue to put in efforts on your behalf to push for changes that best side and protect your interests such as last minute changes including and not limited to, possible last minute increases in Child Tax Credits and other beneficial credits for low income individuals.

👉🏼 We’ll be open to assist our clients as of Monday January 8, 2023 at 8am EST.
👉🏼 The IRS is opening for processing earlier than usual meaning instead of the last week of January they are expected to open by as early as Thursday January 18 and no later than Monday January 22nd.
👉🏼 We’re now offering refund loan advances of up to $6000 🥳 subject to approval and additional fees on behalf of bank product.
👉🏼 We are now officially have our own bookkeeping service department! Need for someone to order your accounting for 2023 to ensure to save on your taxes due? We’re still accepting clients until January 31st for 2023 Year In Review Balance Sheet & Income Statements.
