5-09-2026, (part 3)- While we spent a few days in Helen, GA, we went to one of the filming locations of Smokey & the Bandit. The building with the spectators that Bandit & Frog drove behind to get around the road block is no longer there. It burned down and the remains were cleared away. Yes, we drove around the little loop that Bandit drove around.

5-09-2026, (part 2) - While we spent a few days in Helen, GA, we went to one of the filming locations of Smokey & the Bandit. The house where the spectators were watching Bandit & Frog get around the road block is no longer there. It burned down and the remains were cleared away. The large wooden blocks were on the property where the house stood but were not part of the original house.
