⚠️ Temporary System Outage Notice ⚠️
We want to let our clients know that TaxWise Online, the software we use to prepare and file tax returns, has been experiencing a system-wide outage since around 8:00 AM this morning. Because of this, we are currently unable to access the program to file or process tax returns.
This issue is not specific to Longleaf Accounting and is affecting users across the platform. We are monitoring the situation closely and will resume filing returns as soon as the system is back up and running.

If you have emailed, dropped off documents, or are waiting on a return to be filed, please know your return is still in line and will be processed as soon as access is restored.

Thank you for your patience while the provider works to resolve the issue. We’ll post an update as soon as we have one.

🚨- First PATH ACT FUNDING will be released on Thursday, February 22nd. It will be a big batch. Some will go out on Wednesday and some on Friday.

👉 - It is absolutely impossible for everyone to update on Saturday. Some will update with a date, some will not on Saturday. It doesn’t mean your tax preparer did anything wrong.

👉 - If you do not update with a date on Saturday, that is fine and perfectly normal. Again, it is NOT possible for EVERY SINGLE PERSON in America to update all at once. Checking Sunday or Monday will not get you a Wednesday date.

👉 - There’s no need to call your tax preparer we DO NOT know why the IRS haven’t updated your return. We see what your eyes see on the IRS Where’s My Refund website.

👉 - If it says on the Where’s My Refund website, that your refund has been offset or changed and the balance has been sent to your bank, two things:
📌It’s been sent to the tax bank NOT your preparer’s bank.
📌FEES will be deducted from the balance sent. So what you see on the WMR website is not the refund amount you walk away with.

🚨 - PLEASEEEE stop constantly logging in the site multiple times a day. The IRS updates once a day before 9am. If you lock yourself out because you trying every hour, I can’t check it either!
