PSA:
There is a major shortage of accountants/tax preparers.

If you are looking for a CPA I highly recommend you engage one a year in advance and no later than the end of the year for the coming tax season.

It will be difficult if not impossible to find a good preparer after the beginning of the year as most organized firms will have already started organizing their tax season workload.

I understand everyone hates taxes which causes anxiety and procrastination but as a tax professional I do want to make the public aware of the current industry and what to expect.
