I’m grateful to have recently celebrated my 30-year anniversary with Northwestern Mutual on April 20th, marked by a thoughtful and lively gathering organized by our office.

It’s incredible how quickly time passes. When I joined the company in 1996, I was driven by a simple goal: to help people. That purpose has remained constant throughout my career.

Over the years, there have been highs and lows: moments of celebration, periods of challenge, difficult decisions, and meaningful milestones. What started as an individual journey has grown into something much more rewarding, now shared with an outstanding team.

I’m excited about what lies ahead, continuing to support more families and further developing our team.

Thank you Kevin Kaveney for hosting such a memorable celebration. It was a joy to reflect on early career experiences and exchange stories with fellow financial advisors.

Brian Oleniczak – Operations and Investment Support Manager. Brian is responsible for client onboarding, transfers, servicing, reviews, analysis, trading, rebalancing, rollovers, escalations, client relationship management, quality audits, death claims, privacy situations, and more. He stays on top of current market conditions to provide clients with white-glove service, applying proactive transparency and clear communication in complex topics to ensure every need is met, big or small.

He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and holds the following licenses: FINRA: SIE, 7, 9/10, 26, 63; LOMA: FLMI, ACS, AIRC. Before joining the firm, Brian worked as an operations manager at a logistics company for over 12 years and later at Northwestern Mutual Home Office for 5 years in Variable Life and Corporate Compliance.

What energizes you about your work?
I enjoy helping clients navigate complex or difficult situations: whether it’s a death, job change, birth of a child, or money movement. I take satisfaction in connecting people with a great team and company, making sure their needs are met now and in the future.

Corrine Zerr – Director of Insurance Client Services. Corrine manages client insurance inquiries and oversees general office operations. She assists clients with billing, beneficiary changes, insurance adjustments, loans, and more.

She joined CEO, Scott McKechnie, in 2001 and has been supporting his growing team ever since. With her broad knowledge of insurance-related topics, Corrine also mentors young professionals in the office.

What energizes you about your work?
My long-term relationships with clients and colleagues energize me most. Many of our clients started with Scott when he first launched his business, and walking with them through different life stages continues to inspire me.

What does life look like outside of work?
Family, hobbies, and personal interests fill my time outside the office. Originally from North Dakota, my husband, Dale, and I moved to Colorado 40 years ago. I enjoy spending time with our four daughters and five grandchildren, along with extended family and friends. I also love reading, walking, and listening to music.

William Zimmerman – Private Wealth Advisor and Director of Financial Planning. William manages client relationships, develops retirement plans, and provides operational support for investment accounts. His goal is to fully understand each client’s financial situation and deliver solutions that help them achieve greater efficiency and security.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. William is also a CFP® and an Accredited Asset Management Specialist℠. Prior to joining 7 Sabers Wealth Management, he served in the U.S. Air Force.

What energizes you about your work?
Helping people accomplish their goals and build financial security not only for themselves but also for their families.

What does life look like outside of work?
Life outside of work is centered on family. I support my wife, Jessica, with our kids, William and Grace. Our son plays professional hockey, which keeps us traveling often. When I find free time, I enjoy playing hockey, skiing, golfing, and fishing.

Wes Nagel – Director of Investments. Wes oversees 7 Sabers Wealth Management’s investment activities, including developing and implementing strategies to meet client financial goals, managing portfolios, and ensuring compliance with risk parameters and regulations. He works closely with lead advisors to manage portfolios and provide clients with investment and economic insights.

He graduated from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, and holds Series 6, Series 7, Series 66, SIE, and Life and Health licenses. Wes began his career with Northwestern Mutual in 2008 and joined 7 Sabers Wealth Management shortly thereafter.

What energizes you about your work?
Helping people achieve their financial goals and seeing how the plans we create positively impact their well-being.

What does life look like outside of work?
I enjoy Colorado’s active lifestyle: hiking, camping, and spending time with my kids, Alex and Alena. When it’s time to unwind, I love heading to the beach for vacation.
