The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has announced in IR-2026-02 that they will begin accepting and processing 2025 individual tax returns on January 26, 2026. However, we can get the paperwork ready for you starting Monday so call and make your appointment to make sure you get the day and time you want.

New tax laws: No tax on overtime is true however this is the way that is figured: say you make $10/hr and worked 1 hr of overtime paid at time and a half. That means 1 hr is paid at $15 so your normal $10 if taxable but the extra $5 is not.

Also, the IRS got rid of any credit for home improvements.

The state of Michigan will no longer be accepting any paper files or checks as of the end of 4th qrt, they will also not be mailing out paper checks. What this means is all payments have to be made online and any forms have to be filed online. It also means they require you to have an account to get a refund deposited into.
