For the newbie LSA’s

Well well well so I’ve been a busy person lol. Life is really lifing lol

anywho

a few week ago I was supposed to do a zoom for new LSA’s and share my binder. Well I’ve done something different.

I wrote a training guide instead!!!

And the very first page is a disclaimer!!!!!!! So people don’t come on this posting trying to question my credentials!!!! I am an experienced LSA but I do not consider myself an expert nor will purchasing my training manual make you an expert. This guide is from my personal experience, research and training that I have taken.

So inside this guide (six chapters) I walk you through the steps to get you to the table and what to do at the table. The I’ve included the big 5 and 5 secondary documents that are familiar in loan packages. I’ve also included a script as to how to introduce the document without crossing the line. I also included a few marketing tips

Again I am not a certified expert however I do have over 5 years of experience. I know that’s not a long time for some but I’ve learned a lot over the years.

As of now it is a 54 page pdf. I probably should convert it into an ebook lol.

Guess since I’m up I’ll jump one of these trainings I need to complete. 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ I currently have 3 in progress, need to get CE ( continuing education) on 2 of my certifications (one needs to be completed by July 1) AND there are 2 more certifications that I feel like I need to enhance my business 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

BUT

Do yall know how hard yall made my life?? 😡😡😡

Certain places and organizations no longer issue certificates in order to deter fraud.

So that means I have to go through hell in a hand basket to not only provide proof of completion but to show my certifications are legit. 😡😡😡😡

I don’t like yall and I hope you hit your pinky toe on the corner of your bed this morning 😤😤😤😤

When big chain tax preparation companies close their doors for the day, I am still available.

No waiting for an office to open.

No getting a different tax preparer every time you walk in.

No dealing with someone who is just there to clock in and clock out.

The person preparing your taxes is usually an hourly employee and if you get a refund or not does not or choose not to file there it doesnt affect them. They still get paid.

With me it is different.

I do not get paid until you get paid. That means I am personally invested in making sure your return is accurate, your deductions are maximized, and your refund gets to you as fast as possible. Most importantly i follow all of the tax laws, meaning I do not participate in fraudulent returns!!

This is not just a job for me.

It is my business and my reputation.

So while the big offices are closed, I am still answering questions, still helping clients, and still filing returns.

Early morning rant:

Who hurt yall?

Every year around this time ppl wanna try to tear down tax preparers or down play the need for us. If you know how to do your own taxes good for you sweetheart. Carry on and good luck. But don’t knock us. Some ppl prefer to save time and stress or just want a peace of mind and decide to use a tax professional. To each their own.

With that being said, you also have to do your due diligence. Just because someone says they’re a tax professional doesn’t mean send them all your information!!! Ask questions!!!! Do they have a PTIN, what are your qualifications? Do you have references? And DO NOT just go off some certifications/ certificates that was probably made from this app. I see every day on this ppl asking for fraudulent documents.

Also just because you successfully did a return or two doesn’t make you a tax professional!!!! We ( the real one) put a lot of blood sweat and tears into our trainings. I know I did!!! Especially tears!! We don’t just take one class then boom imma tax preparer! No sir no ma’am. A lot of us invest our own hard earned money into ourselves and training to become and stay compliant with the current regulations.

Did you know most of us go through more training than those at big box companies that ppl swear by??

Don’t get me started on pricing!!!!! At the end of the day you get what you paid for AND our pricing is our pricing!!!!! Either pay our fees or go elsewhere!!! I WILL NOT water myself down to compete with Fraudulent Felicia!!!!!! And no I’m not playing with numbers to get u a bigger refund!!!

Lastly and im done, Ppl need to understand just because you got a huge refund last year doesn’t mean that will be the case going forward. Tax bracket changes, credit and deductibles fluctuate and the main point ppl forget is:

A tax refund is money you overpaid in taxes!!! If you don’t work and pay taxes how are you expecting a refund???

Tax Tip:

Tax credits are generally more favorable than deductions being that they reduce your tax liability dollar for dollar.

Ex: A $2000 credit will lower your tax bill by the full $2000
