IRS Notice CP53E
"We Couldn't direct deposit your 2025 Form 1040 refund"

The IRS is sending this notice to individuals who received a refund as well as to individuals who did not receive a refund. It is a legit document, not a scam.
Effective next year, the IRS is transitioning to direct deposit for all refunds. For future returns, it is okay to go ahead and update your information. However, it is not a requirement to do so.

Attention Taxpayers
The 2026 filing deadlines are as follows:

S-Corp March 15
LLC March 15
Individual April 15
C-Corp April 15
Nonprofit May 15

Please check with your tax preparer to see if they have an office deadline for receiving taxes as they will need time to prepare your taxes.

Extensions are available; however, extensions for Individual and C Corps are just additional time to File NOT additional time to pay amounts owed.

The IRS requires us to collect important information before Rebekah can start a tax return. She has created an "Information Packet" to make it easier for you to provide our office with the necessary information she will need to start your return.
You are more than welcome to fill out the packet in the office when you bring us your taxes, or you can request that we email the packet to you to save you time. Call our office or email us a request and we will be happy to get that sent to you. You may also stop by our office to pick it up ahead of time, if you'd like.

Attention Taxpayers on Marketplace Insurance
Before filing your taxes, you will need your 1095A FORM. If you do not receive this form by mail, go to Marketplace online and print it. This form is required in order to file your taxes; not providing it to your tax preparer can result in a delay in receiving a refund or increase your amount due.

ATTN Business Owners DEADLINE APPROACHING

For your 2025 employees: W-2 forms are due to the employees by January 31, 2026.
If you paid $600 or more to a non-employee for services rendered in 2025, a 1099-NEC must be issued and is due to the non-employee by January 31, 2026.
1099-MISC are due to recipient by January 31, 2026.
