Leaders inspire positive action, and we couldn’t have done that better for our team than with the legendary NCAA men’s basketball coach Tubby Smith, award-winning author and social impact entrepreneur Mawi Asgedom, Northwestern Mutual Managing Partner in Cleveland, Ohio John Ertz and Managing Director in Canton, Ohio Pat Olsen. Bringing to life their different leadership styles, they shared stories about impact, leadership, and the importance of defined goals in reaching our potential.

Some great takeaways we can all learn from:

 You’ll never reach the next level if you aren’t the best at the level you’re currently at first.
 You can’t expect to have an impact on anyone unless you’re available.
 Understand who you’re responsible to versus what you’re responsible for
 If you’re trying to lead to a group decision, “ask the classes, not the masses.”
 Show appreciation for those who got you where you are
