REMINDER: As July 15 approaches, Comptroller Franchot reminds individual and corporate income taxpayers who took advantage of a 90-day tax filing extension that the new due date for filing and payment is JULY 15. While you may request an extension to file until October 15, payments are still due on the July date.

We are incredibly sympathetic to the difficult financial situations families across Maryland may be in right now due to the pandemic and urge taxpayers to pay as much as possible by the July 15 date in order to avoid higher penalties and interest accruing on the owed amount. If you are looking for further assistance, we encourage taxpayers to make an appointment at one of our nine re-opened branch offices across the state at marylandtaxes.gov/locations.php
