WalkerCPG has aligned with some of the top organizations in the country so as to be able to offer diverse strategies that meet a wide range of financial goals, needs, and objectives. Tom believes in a Holistic Approach to Retirement Planning that encompasses all of the factors that impact retirement. He is among the few professionals with the experience to help you coordinate both the aspects of your Retirement that are unique to the Federal Employee (like the SSB and WEP) as well as ones that apply to Retirees across the board (such as Social Security, Medicare, and aspects of retirement taxation). A resident of Charlotte, NC, Tom graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington where he majored in Marketing. With a highly entrepreneurial spirit, Tom not only played key roles in helping expand multiple small businesses, but also served as the Regional Manager for Fun Outdoor Living, Inc. during his time as a student at UNCW. Shortly after graduating, Tom recognized the ability to positively impact other’s lives through financial education and the incredible need in today’s post-recession economy for trustworthy independent retirement insight. With this fundamentally simple objective in mind, the aforementioned entrepreneurial spirit led Tom to found Walker Capital Preservation Group, Inc. in order to further the mission to educate and offer diverse solutions. As an avid reader, Tom’s bookshelves are constantly stocked with a wide array of books devoted to topics such as financial planning, retirement preparation strategies, Social Security maximization, and retirement taxation concerns.
