Chad Brown Insurance Group, LLC (CBIG) specializes in working with those who are receiving Medicare or Medicare and Medicaid as a result of being on Social Security Disability. CBIG was started for the sole reason that we care about people on disability and want to ensure that they obtain the maximum benefits from their Medicare coverage.
DISABILITY AND MEDICARE
In conjunction with receiving Social Security Disability benefits, disabled persons also receive medical health insurance coverage under Medicare. Medicare part A, hospital insurance, is given to all persons who obtain Social Security disability benefits after they receive disability benefits for 24 months. They are also eligible to purchase coverage for doctor visits through Medicare part B and prescription drug benefits through Medicare part D. However, many people with Medicare coverage are unaware that Medicare may not pay for all of their medical costs and that typically they will be disabled persons also receive medical health insurance coverage under Medicare.
