June is National Homebuyer month! Yahoo! What do you think the minimum down payment is to buy a home?

A) 20%
B) 10%
C) 5%
D) Less than 5%

Almost 39% of first time homebuyers are under the assumption 20% is required ... my industry is failing to educate it's potential clients. Most buyers can purchase with 3%–3.5% down or even 0% in certain situations. Earlier this year i helped a client do a in downtown Covington, LA with ZERO down and the seller paid all the closing costs! Buyer had less than $1200. The first step is making the call and getting educated. Call me!

Attention realtor partners and homebuyers! Rates have shifted up steadily over the last two weeks particularly the last two days. It's the height of buying season so if you are shopping this weekend for a home and get something under contract i'd recommend not waiting until Monday to lock. We have a handful of aggressive lenders that allow us to lock outside of normal banking hours. Let's get you under contract can get your loan locked asap!
